Windy Hill Farm - Community Supported Agriculture - Pledge
Commitment to membership at Windy Hill Farm for the 2017 harvest season from May through October means, as a member, your supporting a Farm program by pledging in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation through purchasing shares. In return, you will receive weekly shares in the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food production. As a member, I understand that I share in the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests.
I commit to pick up my weekly shares as stated below. I understand that if I do not pick up my share it will be forfeited. If not picked up in a timely manner I do not expect to have my share saved. As a member of the Windy Hill Farm CSA I will receive a weekly share of produce for 18 weeks from May 2017 until October 2017. I understand that I am given a 2 week vacation absence allowance but I must call or email the farmer 7 days in advance to not fill my share for those 2 weeks. If I have taken a 2 week vacation I will get 2 more weeks of shares toward the end of season. I understand that the variety of produce I receive depends on the growing conditions that vary from season to season and that the risks and benefits of the harvest are shared between Windy Hill Farm and myself and that each full share will average $25 worth of produce each week with some weeks being less than $25 worth and some weeks being well over $25 worth according to the harvest. By participating in this CSA, I am supporting local growers as well as a healthier society.
